Chakwal is a city, in Punjab Province, Pakistan,

It is the 66th biggest city in Pakistan. [2] Chakwal can be found 90 kms south-west from Islamabad, the federal capital of Pakistan, and 270 kilometers from Lahore, the provincial capital of Pakistan. It is easily accessible from both the Islamabad International Airport and the Lahore International Airport.

Chakwal is located in the Dhanni region of the Potohar north Punjab. Pakistan. Chakwal is famous for its Zari shoes.

According to legend, the name “Chakwal” derives its name from “Chako Khan”, an eminent person.¬†This region was ruled by the Khokhars and Dogras for many years.¬†This region was settled by seven tribes: Waince and Mair Minhas, Khokhar and Khokhar.

Chakwal is known as the Land of Honor or the Land of Army People because there are many people who serve in the army and other defense forces. Lance Havaldar Laal Khan, who was awarded Tamgha-i-Jurat(Baloch Regiment), TJ 1958, is one of the most notable people. Later, he moved to 25 Pull Town Shorkot.

Chakwal is a mainly agricultural area. Chakwal is a famous area for producing international standard oranges, wheat and barley as well as many other fruits, vegetables, and has a lot to offer. International cement companies have established factories in the area. However, environmental issues remain a concern. [6]

Chakwal was established as an independent district in Rawalpindi by combining sub-division Chakwal of district Jhelum with sub-division Talagang from district Attock. This was done by combining sub-division Pind Dadan Khan and the police station Choa Saidan Shah.

Chakwal is the district’s headquarters. It also serves as the administrative center of Chakwal¬†Tehsil, a sub-division of the district.¬†The Chakwal District is split into three Tehsils:¬†Kalar‚ÄďKahar¬†Choa Saidan Shah, and¬†Chakwal.¬†The city of Chakwal is split into five¬†union councils:¬†[8], and Chakwal is divided into 68 Union councils.

 The city of Chakwal got the world’s biggest Truck Art wall following the initiatives of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chakwal, Capt (Retd) Bilal Hashim in collaboration with Pakistan’s creative art organization, Phool Patti.

The beautiful wall is located in the downtown area, Tehsil Chowk in Chakwal, and is ready to welcome visitors with a fascinating sight. The organization kicked off the project in Ramzan and achieved the feat of painting the world’s biggest Truck Art wall within a month.

The wall painting features Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and philosopher, Allama Iqbal. Some of the highlights of the wall painting are cultural games like Tent Pegging and Bull Cart Race. It also paid a rich tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan.

In this regard, organization’s founder Ali Salman said that the painting entirely depicts the culture, tradition, and flora, and fauna of Chakwal city. Meanwhile, DC Chakwal said he hopes that the biggest Truck Art Wall will attract local and foreign tourists to the city generating employment for the local population.

Phool Patti organization has worked with overseas Pakistani communities and diplomatic missions to promote the soft image of Pakistan. UNESCO had the organization as the best Creative Entrepreneur of Pakistan.
