Talagang, the headquarters of Talagang Tehsil, is a town in Chakwal District (Punjab, Pakistan). It is located at 32deg55’0N 72deg25’0E. It is approximately 30 km from the M2 motorway, and 45 kilometers from Chakwal, the district capital. Talagang, the administrative center for Talagang Tehsil (one of the four Tehsil’s) in Chakwal District, is called Talagang. The Tehsil is split into 23 Union Councils, of which two form Talagang. In 2012, there were approximately 114 villages under the Tehsil administration in Talagang. Qadirpur, a village in Talagang that is well-known for its stunning mountain views and peanut production, is also known. People travel from all parts of Punjab to visit the Qadirpur shrines of Baba Shah, Amma BiBi and other religious sites. Talagang is home to many mosques. The most notable are Colony Mosque, and Mughal Mosque Basti Faizabad. Talagang is home to two public health facilities: the Tehsil headquarters and 50-bed city hospitals. There are also a few private hospitals. Shrine of grandsons of Abdul Qadir Gillani. 179 al Qamar Hospital, Madina Hospital and Saad Hospital. Talagang’s main language is Punjabi. Urdu is not used in the area as it is in nearby Talagang.

Talagans/Punjabis are also found in Lahore, including Indian Punjabi. Talagang has two public colleges that offer separate campuses for male students and female students. One post-graduate college offers masters-level classes for men and women. Fauji Foundation School is one of the oldest educational institutions. It was established in 1988, and has been upgraded to an intermediate college. Many private and semi-government schools and colleges are available, with some offering co-education. Talagang can be found in Chakwal district, which according to Alif Ailaan’s Pakistan District Education Rankings 2014 is the most educated district in Punjabi. Pira Fatehal Pira Fatehal, a village in Talagang, is named after the Potohari word for sitting or chair. “Fatehal”, a clan belonging to the Awan Tribe, is the name of Pira Fatehal. It is approximately 15km away from Talagang. It has more than 10000 inhabitants. The fresh water canal is located 300ft below the ground. This makes it look like a 1km wide valley. It is surrounded by small green hills and beautiful spots. There are 2 small dams. It is well-known for its delicious ground nuts. Dhaular Dhaular can be found in Tehsil Talagang. It had a population of 6500 according to the 1998 census. It is the largest, most culturally rich and oldest village in the region. Rural life. 181 Dhaualr (meaning that it is the time to fight but my arms are not with me, rather I had left them at home). It is part of the Potohhar Plateau. It is a fertile region, but due to unknown reasons no irrigation system is currently available in Rawalpindi Division. Bilalabad, (Kufri), Bilalabad, (Kufri), is one of the oldest towns in Tehsil Talagang. It is home to over 8 000 people. Its dominant population was made up of wealthy hindus who lived in Peshawar before partition. Their houses are masterpieces of architecture. The Awan tribe is the largest population. This clan’s remarkable strength is not only farming but also playing a prominent role in Pakistan Defence Services (and business).
